I have been very busy this days and not able to post anything since couple of weeks. However I am managing my daily photo blog on Ahmedabad pics regularly.

Now days busy with many things, trying to create another jQuery plugin that can help many people. But you’ll still have to wait for at least few weeks!

I came across a very good tool online that helps to create a jQuery plugin. Today I wanted it to use but I did not find it on my online/offline bookmarks so had to search on net again for it after few efforts I found it finally, so thought better to share on blogs!

What it offers:

- Select classname
- Select Namespace
- Include options to be Getter, Options or Comments
- Function Parameters
- Default options

On Create action it shows all generated code in a text area that can be used in your plugin development. And it also allows to download generated code file.

Here I come with another issue, From last couple of days since I updated Firefox to the new available version (3.5.9) GMail sticks on Loading rich text area while composing email. And also had few issues while loading Buzz.

I thought it could be a temporary issue and delayed the investigation for a while. But that made me little worried if it is an actual issue at Firefox or GMail.

To troubleshoot try this:

Start Firefox in safe mode

- Start -> Run -> firefox -safe-mode
- Choose Firefox (Safe Mode) from program’s list

Verify now if it works, it will definitely.

So the issue could be with a plugin or an add-on you may have installed on your Firefox.

I started disabling add-ons one by one, on my first guess it seemed to be some text replacement/manipulation add-on that could be cause of this.

I had installed Lipikaar firefox plugin (http://www.lipikaar.com/download/firefox) I just disabled it and restarted Firefox. And that’s all it started working fine as before, I retried enabling and disabling this plugin and I made myself sure about the cause.

However I’ve not gone in to the deep to findout the exact cause with this plugin but as it was not for me in daily use so just disabled it and now my GMail works well!

If you have not installed Lipikaar plugin than you might have any other such plugin that could have created a problem while loading GMail rich text area. Try troubleshooting as I mentioned above and you’ll be able to get it working again.

Today I faced another weird problem with my project while building it in Visual Studio 2008.

The error was saying:

Files has invalid value “���
.

Clicking on it was opening no any reference or file to understand where exactly the error is.

I searched on net and found few causes of this, they might be:

1. It may be due to SVN file merge or conflict.

2. May be your project metadafile is corrupted.

3. Or project’s file list of reference is corrupted.

4. I’m not sure if there is anything else

To solve this, first of all check your project’s solution file and .suo file for any of illegal characters in it. If it’s a problem caused by SVN merge/conflict you may find “<<<<< .mine” within it in text editor. Just try to fix it or get correct copy from SVN that will do.

If the file containing reference of files/dlls itself corrupted, Just search for files *.FileListAbsolute.txt from root folder of your project and check all files for any illegal characters in it first. Try to fix it manually or you can get a correct copy from SVN if available or just delete that file and VS will manage to create a new one for you and it will work again.

So that is my finding, wish if it could help you too.

I was getting this error since last 2 days while starting default website and have no idea why it was showing this:

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (Exception from HRESULT: 0×80070020)

But it was clear that another process/program is restricting my IIS default website to start.

Initial search on net helped me to find that process, and how to resolve it.

For my instance it was Skype that created this problem, in advanced settings of Skype you will find the option saying it to use port 80/443. Just uncheck that and close Skype, try restarting your default website then.

You can follow below steps to find any process that uses port 80/443 which can cause problem to your website to run:

Open command prompt (click on Start -> Run -> write CMD and press enter)

And run this command

NETSTAT -ano

That will list all process with assigned port, you will get PID (Process Id), and you can use this ID to find out which process/program is that from Windows Task Manager.

You can then kill that program or change its settings to fix this.

I changed settings for Skype and now its running quite well for me.

As the same way GujaratiLexicon look-up works, you are now able to look-up for words in Urban Dictionary too.

Option to look-up from Urban Dictionary is added to the popup as a link and clicking on this will open a same popup with data from urban dictionary.

For installation :

You need Firefox/Opera with GreaseMonkey

After installing GreaseMonkey you need to install both scripts listed below, after installing these scripts refresh your page and you are ready to use GLLookup!!!

Install following scripts:

Install GLLookup v3

Then

Install Popup Fix – GujaratiLexicon

and

Install Popup Fix – Urban Dictionary

New features added:

Look-up for words from Urban Dictionary.
